Born to the late James Clayborn and Jennie Logsdon, Maggie is also preceded in passing by her loving husband of 56 years, Leonard Bright; and siblings Jack, Louise, Rosetta, and James. Here to carry on her memory are her children, Michael Bright (Susan), Janie Guardiola (Juan), Randall Bright (Connie), Lynn Kornick (Don), Brian Bright, and Doug Bright (Jennifer); grandchildren Byron, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Amy, Kelly, Patty, Donnie, John, Alex, Nick, Macy, and Tyler; great-grandchildren Kayla, Audrey, Steven, Ian, Alyssa, John Luke, Lila, Ethan, Carter, Duncan, and Wyatt; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Maggie selflessly spent her life caring for family. She enjoyed gardening, family events, and caring for dogs and other animals. She was a former member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and Lyndon Baptist Church, and a current member of Westport Road Baptist Church.
A visitation will be held Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road; and on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, with a funeral service in Maggie’s honor beginning at 12:00 pm. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville or the Westport Road Animal Care Society.
