Maririta Bartee

Maririta Bartee, 74, of West Point, KY (formerly of Clarksville, IN and Ironton, OH) passed away Thursday, Aug 14, 2014. She was born May 22, 1940 in Ironton, the daughter of the late George and Mary Elizabeth (Mains) Holtzapfel. She is also preceded in death by a son, Sam Schwed.

She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Ironton. She was a loyal Walmart employee in Clarksville, IN for 17 years.

She is survived by two daughters: Kathy Martin (Joe) of Ironton, OH and Terri Baker (Steve) of West Point, KY; 5 grandchildren, Sam Schwed, Jr. of Ironton, Austin Baker (Paula) of Louisville, KY, Steven Schwed of Alba, TX, Erin Martin of Powell, OH and Danielle Gonzalez (Omar) of Clarksville, IN; 2 great-granddaughters, with one on the way, Alexis Baker and Antiana Gonzalez, both of Clarksville, IN; a brother, George (Bert) Holtzapfel (Mary Jon) and several nieces and a nephew and several great-nieces and great-nephew.

Her visitation will be on Saturday August 16th from 3-8 pm , at Kraft Graceland Funeral Home, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150. There will also be a graveside service Saturday, August 23rd at Calvary Cemetery in Ironton Ohio with visitation at O'Keefe-Baker Funeral Home, Ironton from 9-10:30 Saturday morning prior to graveside service.
