

87, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Masonic Home on Frankfort Avenue. She was born on April 26, 1927 in Louisville, KY.
She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, wife, and a gifted artist. Martha was the Art Editor at Louisville Girl’s High School in 1945. She was also gifted in athletics, earning numerous ribbons in track and field events. Martha was awarded an art scholarship to the University of Louisville. She hand-painted stoneware at both Hadley Pottery and Louisville Stoneware. Martha was known for a green thumb in her beautifully decorated Okolona backyard & garden. She also hand-painted Halloween pumpkins for retail at Lebanon Nursery & Garden Center in Lebanon, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Caroline Cochran & William Terrell Cochran, her twin sister Mary Caroline Cochran, and her husband Richard Vincent Brian Sr.

She is survived by her five children Richard Brian Jr, Christopher Brian, Marta Pebbles, Wade “Tony” Brian, and Lisa Bibb. Her surviving siblings include Bill Cochran, Natalie Schreiber, and Carol Ferguson. She has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial visitation to honor the life of Martha will be held at Arch L.
