Mary Doerr Fox

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Golden Percy Fox, Jr., three children, Cliff Buechel (Cathy), Elizabeth Bustanoby (Pete) and Beverly Osborn (Stan). Mary had five grandchildren whom she cherished, Joshua Buechel (Kimmy), Jeremy Bustanoby (Christina), Katie Likens (Terry), Heather Bustanoby (Thompson) and Heidi Osborn (Shaun). Mary adored her great-grandchildren, Jonah and Myles Buechel, along with Sophia Likens. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Marie Perkins and her sister, Alma Jean Parrino.

A 21-year survivor of C.O.P.D., Mary remained strong and courageous throughout her struggle for a breath of life. She is a co-founder of "A Breath of Life" providing support and encouragement to C.O.P.D. patients in the greater Louisville area. Her influence and leadership reached far and wide providing love and heart felt support for those struggling with C.O.P.D. The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Jewish ICU for their compassion and care.

A Celebration of Mary's Life will be conducted Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 10 am in Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the funeral home.
