Mary "Izola" Newton Gillock

Mary “Izola” Newton Gillock, 99, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, February 7, 2022. She was a devoted Catholic, loved flowers, playing piano, and cooking. She was very arts and crafty. Izola spent time reading and learning history. Spending time with her family and friends always made her happy.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Haldeen Cahoe and Nicholas Riggs; her parents, Frances Xavier Newton and Anna Mary Newton; siblings, Chester Newton, Lucille Devine, and FX Newton.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, James Cahoe (Vicki) and daughter, Antoinette Cahoe; and grandsons, Chris and Matt.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 2-7 pm at Arch L Heady Okolona. The Funeral Mass will be Monday, February 14, 2022 at 10am at St. Rita Catholic Church with burial immediately following at St. Michael Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Franciscan Nursing Home and Hosparus for their care and compassion for Izola.
