Mary Catherine Miller Payne

She was born August 20, 1922, to the late Joseph and Matilda Gephardt Miller, who preceded her in death. Mary was also preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Joseph E. Payne, and by a niece and a nephew. She was a retired switchboard operator from the Louisville Water Company, and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church for over 50 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharron Bieckert (Don); sister, Ruth Muldoon; grandson, Troy Miller; and great-grandson Keegan Lyons. She is also survived by two nieces and four nephews.

A funeral mass to celebrate Mary's life will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3926 Poplar Level Road, on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. Visitation will be held at the Arch L. Heady-Russman Funeral Home at 1201 East Oak Street from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday. Entombment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.
