She was born May 23, 1934 in Maysville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Kirkby and Minerva (Mitchell) Collins. She married J. Patrick Sutherland of Paducah, Kentucky, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, James P. Jr. (Ruth) Sutherland, Wausau, Wisconsin , Mark E. Sutherland, Lexington, Kentucky, Anne (Michael) Reuter, Oak Ridge, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, J. Patrick.
Her funeral mass will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3345 Lexington Rd, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 3-5 pm on Friday at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village. Entombment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
