She was a retired Security Supervisor for Jefferson County Public Schools.
She is preceded in death by her son, William B. Tompkins Sr.
Mary is survived by her friend, Betty Ratliff; daughters, Deborah, Sharon, Phyllis and Cindy; sons, Jeffrey and Michael; daughter-in-law, Jill; sisters, Wilma Sorg and Thelma McDaniels; and several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 7pm at O.D White and Sons Funeral Home, 2727 S. Third Street. Visitation will be held from Noon until 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Funeral Home in care of the Tompkins Family.
