Grandma, I'm so happy to have spent the last two weeks by your side.  I'll remember your head on my shoulder last Wednesday forever.  Know that you have touched so many lives in such a positive way.  Rest in peace as you'll always be in my heart.

My deepest condolences to all the family.  Sure hurts to lose our parents but her place in heaven is guaranteed.  I have some great memories of her at the family reunions at Otter Creek - she was a special lady.

I am so sorry to hear about the death of Aunt Valley.  I am sure she is happy and "shaking up heaven".  My Dad will be glad to see her.  I remember all the good times our families had together when we were growing up.

Dear Wathen Family,

God is good; I saw in the morning paper that He called Val home.  I know your hearts are broken and happy at the same time; and since this is not the first death of a loved one you have experineced, you know this too.

She is happy, pain-free, seeing clearly how her life--how her love for all of you--fitted into God's plan. 

Keep her memory alive for the youngsters in the familly: tell the stories about her whenever you get together.

I wish I could be at the visitation and hear more of those stories, but the timing conflicts with my work.  Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
