She is preceded in passing by her husband, John W. Welch Jr. and her parents, Matthew Peters, and Ida Mae Seitz. She is survived by her loving family of two sons, Ron (John Gillespie), John (Tammi), and one sister, Joyce Huber, two grandchildren, Kristina (Tim), John Welch IV, as well as two great-grandchildren, Ariana, and Timothy, two nephews and one niece, and many lifelong friends.
She is a 1964 graduate of Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Louisville, KY and worked for many years as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. She was a member of Life Bridge Christian Church and will always be remembered for her sense of humor and compassion for animals.
The visitation will be held Monday March 29, 2021 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, from 1:00 pm -7:00 pm. A chapel service in Mary’s honor will follow Tuesday at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
