She was born October 18, 1925 in Louisville, KY, grew up in Bardstown, KY and graduated with honors from Bethlehem Academy. She also graduated with honors from Nazareth Junior College and cum Laude from Spalding University (English and Philosophy).
She was a certified graphoanalist with The International Graphoanalist Society in Chicago, IL. A published author, she wrote poetry and short stories, including children’s’ books and a treatise on her scholarship in handwriting analysis. Her hobbies included gardening, music and embroidery.
She is survived by her six children, Mary Macrina Young Peak (Ed), Christopher Young, Timothy Young, Margaret Martin (Dennis), Caroline Flint (Erik) and David Young (Anna); five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at The Basilica of Saint Joseph Proto-Cathedral, 310 W. Stephen Foster Ave., Bardstown, KY 40004. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bardstown, KY.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in gratitude to Hosparus or St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church.
