Mattie Frances Johnson, 100, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016. She was born October 27, 1915 in Muelenburg County, Kentucky to the late William and Georgia (Dexter) Hallinan. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Johnson, daughter, Patricia Clark, and grandson, Gregory Cantrell. She worked as a sales representative for Lemon and Sons Jewelers for many years and was a member of Arcade Baptist Church.
She is survived by her granddaughters, Deborah Grunewald (Fred), Melinda Kay Lindsey (David), and Teresa Ann Prober (Chris); son, Larry Johnson and his family; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home Southern, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Louisville, Kentucky 40215. Her funeral service will be 1:00 pm Friday at the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
