A proud Marine Veteran, Melvin dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving his country. His military service was a testament to his commitment and dedication.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Georgia Zucker. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Bernadette Zucker, his daughter Jill Ramirez and her husband Ricardo, and his grandchildren Judah, Elijah, Ezra, and Malachi. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and close friends who will miss him dearly.
In his personal life, Melvin had a passion for reading about world history, with a particular emphasis on WWII. He was an avid collector of WWII miniature figures, including soldiers, tanks, planes, and ships. A huge movie buff, he enjoyed films that focused on WWII or Sci-Fi themes. Known for his deep and soothing voice, Melvin was a real people person who never met a stranger and could carry on a conversation with anyone. His voice was even featured in some small radio commercials.
Melvin will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His legacy of kindness and wisdom will continue to inspire all who knew him.
