Michael Dale Higdon

Mike graduated from Flaget where he played football all four years and they won the state championship his junior year, 1967. He also graduated with a Bachelors degree in Psychology from UofL in 1972. He retired after 20 years with Bostich-Finley and then worked 15 years with Autozone in Munfordville.

Mr. Higdon was preceded in rest by bonus son, Jason McCubbins; two sisters, Wanda Crabtree and Pamela Higdon; a brother, Jim Higdon; and his parents, Robert and Ruth Higdon.

He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 22 years, Jackie; bonus children, Andrea Miller (Lynn) and Jimbo McCubbins; grandchildren, Cortney Wells, Caleb Wells, Gracie Miller and Zeke Miller; a great-granddaughter, Joanna Dixon; two brothers, Keith Higdon and Tim Higdon; a sister, Sharon Sellinger (Frank) and several nieces and nephews that he adored.

His Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday at 10am at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop, with interment following in Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2pm until 8pm at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Highway.
