Mildred "Jean" Haycraft, age 89, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Jean was born on April 27, 1934 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Benjamin Caple and Annie Belle Woods Caple. Jean is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Richard Haycraft; and her son, Danny Pike.
Jean was an avid University of Kentucky Fan, her greatest joy of all, was spending time with her family.
Left to cherish Jean's memory are her children, David Pike (Sharon), Brian Pike (Beverly), James Haycraft, II, Dawn Johnson (Darrell); daughter-in-law, Debbie Pike; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213. A service to honor the life of Jean will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Jean will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
