Mildred E. McCloud, 89, passed away on October 27. She was born in Louisville on November 16, 1928 to the late Robert and Susan Linde. Mildred spent most of her life caring for her children and grandchildren and showering them with love and her delicious cooking-specifically her chicken and dumplings. She was a member at Lighthouse Apostolic Church.
Mildred is preceded in death by her 2 grandsons, Justin Anderson and Steffan Hardesty, and a brother, Robert Linde.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 71 years, Robert McCloud; sons, Phillip McCloud (Pam) and Darrell McCloud (Trena); grandchildren, Stephanie Hardesty (Rusty), Suzann Threet (Tom), Kristy, Kelly, Chad, Bethany, and Josh; 22 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The visitation for Mildred will be on Monday, October 29 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, from 4-8 pm. A service to celebrate her life will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 am.
