
On March 31, 2025 surrounded by her family, holding the hand of her beloved husband, Nancy Lee Ferguson Conway passed away at the age of 92. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother. Originally from Richmond, VA she moved to Louisville, KY with her young family in 1960, living there until her passing. She and her husband also shared a home in Bonita Beach, FL where she spent many happy years with family and friends.
She is proceeded in death by her: mother, Gladys Wine, father, Aubrey Ferguson, step father, Harry Wine and her daughter, Donna Conway Schmitt. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Douglas Conway, Sr.; sister, Linda Wine Witchman, of Naples, FL; two sons Douglas Conway, Jr. (Linda) and Scott Conway (Lori); six grandchildren: Jacob “J.R.” Conway (Larry Gowdy), Shea Conway (Ashley), Allie Conway, Rachel Schmitt (Ian Amis), Taylor Conway, and Hunter Conway; two great grandchildren: Hudson and Charlotte Conway.
Nancy always had a positive outlook on life. Every restaurant she went to was the best place she’d ever been, every movie she watched was the best she ever had seen. She loved fiercely and made every day a jolly holiday.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
