Hospital with her family lovingly by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Prather, her parents Elmore Doll and Helen Doll Tate, her sister Patricia Stivers, her brother John Doll, and her sister-in-law Carol Sue Hampton. She was a 1957 graduate of DuPont Manual High School and a 1960 graduate of Nazareth School of Nursing at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a registered nurse at St. Joseph's and SS Mary and Elizabeth Hospitals. She was a member of St. James Church, where she was a member of the Chancel Choir for many years and an active member of the Ladies Evening Guild. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, bunco and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her sons Kerry, Kevin, Scott (Lahoma), Kirk (Lisa), and Dan (Donna); grandchildren Garrett, Thomas, Reagan, Declan, Brinley, Daniel, Jason, Anna, Jackson, Charles, Ethan, Maura, Molly, and Adeline; special niece Jill Baker (Gary); brothers-in-law Norman Hampton and Richard Prather (Deloris); and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Prather's life will be held at 11:00 Monday, April 2024, at St. James Church, 3535 Taylor Blvd., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 3-7 pm Sundayat Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3601 Taylor Blvd., and from 9:00 am until the time of the service Monday at the church.
