Nancy Lee Wilson, age 82, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025. She was born to the late Ira and Thelma Griesinger on March 9, 1943. Nancy worked as a secretary for the Naval Ordnance for 25 years. Nancy was a proud mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. She was an artist, specializing in oil photography and drawing, was a wonderful storyteller, and loved ice skating. Nancy was very charitable and treated everyone she knew like they were her family. Her kindness and generosity will be greatly missed.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; Ira and Thelma Griesinger, husbands; Joseph Elzy and Charles K. Wilson, and brother; Morgan Griesinger.
Left to cherish Nancy's memory are her children; Karen Elzy, Diana Hatfield (Gene), Amanda Turner (Chris),Odell Compton (Steve), and Ken Wilson (Denise), grandchildren; RJ Harris (Laura), Kraig Wilson, Logan Harris (Audrey), Jason Compton (Erika), Justin Compton (Morgan), Kent Hatfield (Michelle), Matt Hatfield (Olivia), Josh Hatfield (Libby) Brian Wilson (Carlina), and Dionne Alexander (Mike), great-grandchildren; Sophia, Maggie, Josie, Eden, Evelyn, Elim, Elijah, Caleb, Alyssa, Lindsey, William, Sofia, Mady, Easton, Makenna, Brody, and Everlee, and sister-in-law; Jane Griesinger.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 40213, followed by a funeral service at 3:00pm. Nancy will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Nancy's name may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society or the American Diabetes Association.
