Natividad P. Hernando, of Louisville, passed away December 25, 2012. She was born on February 28, 1925 Gapan, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. She was a graduate of the Philippine Women’s University, the University of Louisville, a member of KTRA and JCTA as well as the Cathedral of the Assumption. She was a retired special education teacher with the Jefferson County Public School System.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Victorino C. Hernando.
She is survived by his loving children; a son, Jon Hernando (Becky Lynn); a daughter, Amy Castaneda (Alan); and her granddaughters, Brooke and Blair.
Her Celebration of Life Mass will be held Monday, December 31, 2012 at 10 a.m. at her church, Cathedral of the Assumption, 433 S. 5th St., with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday and 10-8 on Sunday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: San Lorenzo Scholarship Fund at the Cathedral of the Assumption.
