
He was born on December 31, 1934, to Nguyen Canh and Nguyen Thi Vi, in Bien Hoa, Vietnam. He loved to play soccer when he was young, and when he got older, he was proud of his career military service as an officer in the Vietnamese Air Force. Suu loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and spent his life devoted to his family. He was always ready to go shopping, go out to eat, and to spend time playing with his family’s dogs. Most of all he enjoyed going on vacation with his family. He was a loving and caring man, and he will be missed.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Tran Thi Khanh.
Left to cherish his memory are Nguyen Thi Tuyet Van and children, Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung with husband, Nguyen Hoan Tuan, Tran Van Son with wife and grandchildren, Tran Thi Mai and grandchild, Tran Van Phuoc and grandchildren, Tran Van Nguyen with wife and grandchildren, Nguyen Thi My Dung with husband and grandchildren, Nguyen Thi My Loan with husband and grandchildren, Nguyen Tuan Phong with wife and grandchildren, Nguyen Thi My Phuong, Nguyen Thanh Vu with wife and grandchildren, Nguyen Thi My Anh with husband and grandchildren.
A visitation for Nguyen Van Suu will be held on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and will resume the next day, Sunday, January 18th, 2026, in the same location from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 19th, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at 1:00 PM in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
