Orville retired from L & N Railroad after over 40 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, but most of all loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
His brother, Castee Basham and sister, Brenda Godsey preceded Orville in death.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 66 years, Dolores, son, Rick Basham(Stephanie), grandchildren, Jordan Basham(Brandi), Emily Mattingly(Nick), Aaron Basham(Mariah); great grandchildren, Harper Rose Basham, Briella Grace Mattingly, Olivia Mae Mattingly; sister, Barbara Slaven, brother, Larry Basham(Shirley), and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 2-8pm with a funeral service Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 11:30am at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home in Okolona. Burial will follow the funeral service at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
