Patricia Ann "Pat" Meiners

Patricia “Pat” Bleuel Meiners, left this world on October 11, 2014 to join her Heavenly Father, her parents, Frank and Rose Bleuel, and her siblings gone before her, Rosemary Oswald (William), Paul Bleuel (Terri), Bud Bleuel (JoAnn) and Bob Bleuel (Marlene).

She is survived by a brother, Frank J Bleuel (Dodee) and a sister, Carol Young (Jay).

Pat was born March 17, 1941. She was a 1959 graduate of Mercy Academy. She is the loving wife of Frank Meiners for 55 years and loving mother to her children, Sheila Williams (Rob), Dr. Joe Meiners, David Meiners (Susie, Susan Meiners, Elizabeth Hardin (Bry) and Matt Meiners (Ginny). She loved her 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pat had a deep-seated faith and loved the Roman Catholic Church. She was very active at her parish, St. Albert, including serving on the Parish Council as the Head of the Liturgy Committee, teaching CCD and was a Eucharistic Minister.

The family wants to give special thanks to Dr. Geetha Joseph and the staff at CBC; Joan Banet, Rebecca Watson at the Baptist East Blood Department; and all the staff at Baptist Hospital East Park Tower Third Floor for their tireless loving care and support. We are also forever grateful to Shonna Sims with the Red Cross in Portland, Oregon and to all of the donors who gave regularly to extend her life.

Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. on Monday, October 13, 2014 from 2-8 PM. The funeral mass will be at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1395 Girard Dr.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Right to Life or Wounded Warriors.
