Patrick Joseph Stocker, 63, of Crescent Hill, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 15. He was born March 27, 1956 in Louisville. He graduated from Ballard High School and worked for Neil Huffman Automotive parts department for 30 years. He worked for Dreisbach Floral Company for the last 10 years of his career.
He bravely battled cancer for the last 2 1/2 years. A friend commented how blessed we all were to watch him do his “hero walk.” What a warrior he proved to be.
Pat loved music and sports and had an extraordinary knowledge and memory of both. Any trivia team would be lucky to have him on its roster! U of L sports and the Pittsburg Steelers were his favorites.
He also loved the simpler things in life, rides down river road, listening to music on his porch and gathering with family and friends. He was loved by all and always maintained a positive outlook. He loved to laugh and seemed to always bring out a smile in those he was around.
Pat was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Stocker, mother Kate Wheeler, brothers Jamie Stocker, Billy Bauer, and Dusty Bauer.
He is survived by his sisters Cindy Edwards (John) and Chris Ann Collett (Garry Lee), his brother John Finn Stocker (Melissa). A niece, Shelby Stocker and nephew Spencer Stocker. Also, the love of his life Becky Bachman and her daughter Sarah. He will be missed by his furry nieces and nephew, Sadie, Sophie, and Sammy.
A Celebration of Pat's life will be forthcoming.
Memorial contributions are requested to the J. Graham Brown Cancer Center.
