She was born August 4, 1998 in Louisville, the loving daughter of Marcus MacLeod and Mayra (Wehby) Williamson.
Raena was the beloved center of her family. Despite her many challenges, she brought light, joy, and smiles to all who met her.
Raena received most of her education at The Churchill Park School in Louisville. She loved swimming and building LEGOS with her dad. Raena also enjoyed watching her favorite TV show, Frasier, with her mom.
She was a Special Olympics athlete in bowling and excelled against all competitors.
Raena loved going for walks/rolls, being read to, and adored listening to music of all types. Above all else, she was a fighter. She overcame great difficulties in daily life, but she enjoyed her life and loved her family.
Early in her life, Raena’s parents were warned she could leave them very early, and again, she defied the odds. Although she left us far too soon, she will be loved and remembered by her friends and family forever.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Marcus MacLeod and Mayra Williamson; two sisters, Isabella Jetter and Sol Jetter; grandparents, Anne Smith, Elena Colunga and Carlos Wehby (Ana Cosio); aunts and uncles, Alina Wehby and Carlos Mason Wehby (Currie); and cousins, Carly Henry, Dylan Henry and August Mason Wehby. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, William Smith.
The family has chosen to have a private ceremony for Raena.
Expressions of sympathy may be given to The Kid’s Center for Pediatric Therapies, 982 Eastern Parkway, Louisville, KY 40217.
