Raphael leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 66 years Helen Burns, children Denise Sullivan (Kit), Leisa Brittain (Rob) and Michael Burns, grandchildren Kevin Sullivan (Lori), Stacey Griffin (Tim), Jeremy Gernert, Nick Brittain, Chris Brittain (Shea) and Lynsey Burns and seven great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sisters Mabel Schifferdecker and Helen York.
A service to honor the life of Raphael will be held 12 noon Thursday in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home with a private burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
The family would like to deeply thank the wonderful staff of The Forum and Jefferson Manor for the care given to Raphael.
