Raymond Thomas Walker

WALKER, Raymond Thomas, 86, of Louisville passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Norton Healthcare. He was born on November 13, 1931 in Blytheville, AR to Guy and Gladys Walker. Raymond moved to Louisville in 1965 and became a member at Westport Road Baptist Church the same year. He served as an usher at church. Raymond was also a member of the Oldham County Country Club and a veteran of the United States Army.

Raymond is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Doris Anna Walker; his parents; and brothers, Kenneth and Marcus Walker.

He is survived by his son, Rodney Thomas Walker of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Liticia Kelsey (Dan) of Louisville; granddaughters, Tiffany Davis (Matt) and Whitney Adams (Chris) of Louisville; great granddaughters, Kelsey and Kenzie Davis of Louisville; sister, Frankie Wyatt of Reidland, KY; and sister-in-law Wanda Overby of Mayfield, KY.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11 am at Byrn Funeral Home, 1020 Paris Rd, Mayfield, KY with burial to follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Mayfield. The family will receive friends from 9 am until service time at the funeral home on Tuesday.

A memorial service will also be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 2 pm at Westport Road Baptist Church, 9705 Westport Rd, Louisville, KY.

Memorial gifts may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
