Rebecca Sue Snider

Rebecca Monk Snider, 55, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father passing peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Norton Hospice Pavilion - Inpatient Care Unit after a long illness with MS. She was a native of Shawnee, OK and the former Rebecca Russell, and a member of Okolona Christian Church. Becky had been a Girl Scout Leader and was very passionate about young women being brought up with strong core values. She loved her craft work, sewing, making dolls and clothes , but her passion was spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death was her mother, Mariella Holt McNatt of Shawnee, OK and her grandparents, Lavina and Bill Holt.

Left cherishing her memory is her loving husband of 21 years, Glenn P. Snider; step-father, Ivan McNatt (DeeDee) of Pine Valley CA; children, Andrea (Mitch) Compton of Bonita, CA, Marsha Monk, Corey (Brittney) Monk and Elizabeth Snider; sisters, Debbie (Doug) Miller, Ronda Nuanez (Mark), Angella (Steve) Collard of Moore, OK; brothers, Mike (Debbie) Russell, Douglas (Kelli) Russell of San Tee, CA, grandchildren, Alyssa Monk, Morgan, Brooke, and Conrad Compton, Hayden Monk; one great-granddaughter Skylar; and many nieces and nephews.

A Life Celebration service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
