She had been a housewife and worked as a daycare assistant. Mrs. Higginbotham was a member of the Solid Rock Church of God and a native of Cumberland County, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward Higginbotham, Sr.; her parents, Irwin "Bob" and Sally Johnson; brothers, Edward and James Hall Johnson; and a sister, Myrtie Helen Blevins.
Mrs. Higginbotham is survived by a son, Ward Higginbotham, Jr.; two brothers, Dickie and John Johnson; five sisters, Jenny DeVoe, Barbara Kirkland, Rosie Spain, Peggy Batio and Judy Daniels.
Her funeral services will be on Wednesday, at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8519 Preston Hwy., with interment following in Pennsylvania Run Cemetery.
