He was retired from Ford Motor Company and had served his country during The Vietnam War in the U. S. Navy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Scherzer) Hayen; sons, Lorne (Debbie), Jamie (Kim) and Matt (Stephanie) Hayen; and six grandchildren, Renee, Abby, Cheyenne, Nicholas, Wyatt and Andrew Hayen.
His Celebration of Life Service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
