He was born on July 29, 1949 to his late parents Peter and Inez Lerner. Robert graduated from University of Illinois Chicago at the UIC College of Pharmacy and afterwards owned his own store for many years, giving 35+ years as a pharmacist. He retired in 2017 and looked forward to spending his time golfing and traveling. Robert is survived by his wife of 38 years, Irene, his brother, Henry Kepner, 4 sons Michael Jaudzems (Gloria), Paul, Matthew, and Christopher Lerner (Erin), and 6 grandchildren; Dylan, Luke, Alexis, Robert, Stash, and Hazel, and of course, the family dog Lenny.
Robert is under the care of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home at Westport Village. A memorial service will take place on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Albert the Great Church, 1395 Girard Dr., Louisville, KY 40222.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and the American Diabetes Association.
