Born September 15, 1924 in Junction City, KY to the late Jacob and Ella Barker Phillips. Graduate of Dupont Manual H.S. 1942. Retired from General Electric as a drafting manager. Avid golfer, fisherman, baseball coach. He was a Baptist by faith, a member of the VFW, Kosair Shriners, Moose Lodge 5 and the Masonic Lodge.
Along with his wife of 34 years, Katherine, he is survived by children, Barbara Pickett (Joe), Don Phillips (Bonnie), Janet Yeager (Tom), David Phillips (Karlene), Rhonda Sandlin (Lee) and Robert Sheren (Tammy); and nine grandchildren.
A Celebration of Bob's Life will be 2 p.m. Monday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
