Robert Cornelius Reid, 92, of Louisville formerly of New Hope, Kentucky passed away December 31, 2015 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center. He was born on August 31, 1924 in New Hope, Kentucky to the late James and Eva Reid. He was a caregiver to his parents and sister as well as worked at Reid’s Family General Store. He was a Veteran in the United States Army during WWII receiving a Purple Heart.
He is survived by his sister, Sister Mary Margaret Reid S.C. N.; a niece, Molly Reid Heady (Chris); a nephew, Gerald Reid; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 104 Church Street, New Hope, Kentucky with burial in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 with a prayer service at 4:30 on Monday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville and from 10:30-11 on Tuesday at the church.
