Born on April 9, 1941, in Berry, Kentucky, Rodney was the beloved son of the late Howard Grayson and Gladys Love . He was preceded in death by his brothers Jerry, Buddy, and Wayne, and his sister Judy Crawford. Rodney is survived by his children, Kevin Grayson (Tracy) and Constance Grant (Lee), grandchildren, Kevin Jr, Zach, Josh, Jake, Gauge and Emmalee, and a several great grandchildren.
Known affectionately as “Hot Rod,” Rodney was a man whose spirit radiated joy. His cheerful disposition, giving heart, and ever-present willingness to help others made him a friend to many and a bright spot in every room he entered.
Those who knew Rodney will never forget his beautiful blue eyes and his natural way of making everyone feel welcome and cared for. A fiercely independent man, Rodney found great satisfaction in simple pleasures and lifelong passions. He loved scouring thrift stores for hidden treasures, collecting coins and stamps, and spending time with family while playing music.
His love of cars was well-known—he was an avid car enthusiast, always admiring the craftsmanship and character of every vehicle that caught his eye.
This is not goodbye; this is until we meet again. Know you are loved beyond measure, and that you were a part of the family that can never be replaced. There is an empty space here without you, but heaven just got a little more fun.
Celebration of Life to be held, Sunday November 16th at Arch Heady and Sons - 3601 Taylor Blvd. Louisville, KY 40215 from 2 PM to 6 PM.
