Flash proudly served in the Air Force, and his adventurous spirit led him to pursue stand-up comedy in his younger years. He enjoyed traveling with friends, which brought him immense joy and countless cherished memories. Famously known as Flash he dedicated 30 years of his life to The Back Door, where he was known for serving stiff drinks and making friends with every patron who walked through the door.
Known for his caring nature and loving heart, Flash touched the lives of many. He was a devoted father, brother, and a beloved papa to his granddaughter, KK, who was his favorite lunch date.
Flash is survived by his daughter Heather Kaltman (Jon) his granddaughter Mykaela Seeley (Zach) and his sister Linda Staten (Orlando). He was preceded in death by his brothers Bill (Beverly) and Greg Combs. Ron will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Flash’s life will be held on June 18th from 4pm-7pm at Barret Bar & Grill. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bellewood & Brooklawn.org.
Rest in peace, dear Flash. Your memory will live on in our hearts.
