Ruby Phyllis Russell

Ruby Phyllis Russell, 70, of Shepherdsville, passed away September 30, 2016. She was retired from General Electric. Ruby was a woman who had unconditional love for her children and was selfless throughout her life. She showed all of those around her how to live with grace. She lived, she laughed, and she loved, and was thoughtful at all times. May she continue to bring smiles to those in Heaven as she did here on Earth. She was born May 25, 1946 to James and Gladys Cordy, who precede her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Russell Sr.; her brother, James Cordy; and her sister, Sandy Gathers. Left to cherish her memory is her fiancé, Dave Lowe; her children, Laura McLemore Fox(Paul), Constance McLemore, Kenny Mink(Jessica), and Thomas Russell Jr.(Lauren); her grandchildren, John Sutton, Aaron Sutton, Stephanie Godfrey, Jessica Cirou, Amber Lima, Issac Mink, Gracie Mink, Scotlyn Russell, Eisley Russell, and another on the way; 5 great-grandchildren with another on the way; sisters, Bea Cowan and Joan Driskell; and her best friend Goldie Solomon as well as Goldie's late husband, Carl Solomon. Keeping with Ruby's wishes, her family has chosen cremation. Evergreen Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital in Ruby's memory.
