She was born on November 27, 1927 in Louisville, the daughter of Albert and Florence Peters. She graduated from Louisville Girls High. Her work career included Buechel Bowling Lanes, Bacons and Dillards.
She attended Victory Memorial Baptist Church and Highview Baptist Church for the past 70 years and served as a Sunday school teacher for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert R. Wynn.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Susan Isaacs, Sandy Smithers (Art) Rob Wynn (Sandra); grandchildren; Amy McClure (Zac Fitzpatrick), Jason Isaacs, Jennifer Isaacs, Matt Isaacs (Ricki), Rachel Burkholder (Miles) and seven great grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Ruth’s life will be conducted at 2p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 11a.m. until funeral time Tuesday.
