Shirley Ann McCollum, 73, of Louisville passed away July 11, 2013 at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. She was born on August 17, 1939 in Louisville to the late Dewey McIntosh and Dorothy Colvin. She was a member of the Estill County Historical Society and the VFW Millcreek Women’s Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Woody and Jerry McIntosh and a daughter-in-law, Judy Briney.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard W. McCollum; children, Rick Briney, Rhonda Briney, Ray (Debbie) Briney, Frank (Tammi) Briney and Rob (Rhonda) Briney; 57 grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren; six step children; four sisters, Doris, Dena, Shaunia, and Louise; and a brother, Larry.
A celebration of her life will be conducted Saturday July 13, 2013 at 2 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday from 11-2 at the funeral home.
