Sidney Rosamond “Rose” Renn, 100, was born on April 22, 1921 in Harrodsburg, KY to the late Elmore and Clara (Stratton) Foster, and passed away on Sunday August 22, 2021. She was a member of the old Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church and the Jolly Elders, loved cooking for her family, crafting, traveling, and her grand; great grand; and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Allen Sweazy. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Lawrence Renn; daughter in-law Brenda Holzknecht Sweazy; grandchildren, Mark Sweazy (Kim), Tony Sweazy (Kelly), and Julie Bryan (Glenn); 4 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren; and 5 step children. Funeral services for Mrs. Renn will be held at 10 am Thursday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Red Hill Cemetery in Larue Co., KY.
