Stephen L. "Steve" Wicke, 57 of Louisville, passed away after a brave battle with cancer on the morning of June 15, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was a Catholic by faith and had worked for over 39 years for the Courier Journal. He was an avid golfer, a huge U of Kentucky basketball fan, antique collector, and he just loved spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by is loving mother, Martina Gordon Wicke.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Stephanie L. Wicke, Kasie (Brent) Etscorn and Kisha Nicoulin; father, Robert L. Wicke; brother, Gordon (Debbie) Wicke and sister Theresa Hoyt; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Madison and Caden; and a great family friend, Calvin Tyler.
The Celebration of Life service for Steve will be on Monday, June 18, 2012 at noon at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
