Susan Monica "Monnie" Kalbfleisch

Susan Monica "Monnie" Kalbfleisch, 92, of Louisville, passed away surrounded by her loving family on the afternoon of November 28, 2015 at Oaklawn Health and Rehab. She was the former Susan Buckler and a native of Loretto, KY. Susan was a homemaker and an excellent seamstress, she refinished furniture and loved to travel. Monnie graduated from Jefferson State with a Certified Nursing Assistant degree, and was a good Pinochle player, who loved to dance, especially square dancing and line dancing. And if you happened to have a boat she loved cruising on the river with you. She was a devout Catholic and had been a member of St. Albert the Great and St. Martha's Catholic Churches. If you knew Monnie, you knew her to be a fun loving lady with a great sense of humor who loved get togethers and spending time with her family.

Left cherishing her memory is her husband of 69 years, Edwin L. Kalbfleisch; children, Jim (Sherry), Gary, John (Dede), Kenny (Kathy), Brian (Beth) Kalbfleisch and Sue (Ed) Brinley; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 7 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with a private entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be on Thursday from 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
