Tammy Hyde

She was born on August 1, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Duane Garfield and Jeanie Parker Watkins.

Tammy graduated from Ballard High School and attended the University of Louisville. She was employed at Christian Care Communities where she cared for residents and their dietary needs.

Tammy was an avid lover of animals. She was a true caregiver throughout her life—giving all to the care and services of others.

Tammy is preceded by her mother, Jeanie Parker Watkins; father, Duane G. Watkins, Sr.; and twin sister, Theresa Thompson. She is survived by her brother, Duane G. Watkins, Jr.; niece, Eva Elise Watkins; nephew, Hunter Thompson; aunt, Mary Jo Gilbert; and cousins, Jimmy Gilbert, Michael Gilbert, Judy Vornholt, and Karla.

A visitation for Tammy will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 7410 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40222. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 21, 2025 at 11:30 AM with visitation prior from 10 AM-1130 AM, 7410 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40222. A graveside service will occur Friday, March 21, 2025 1:00 PM at Cave Hill Cemetery & Arboretum, 701 Baxter Ave, Louisville, KY 40204.
