He was born January 11, 1962, in Louisville, KY, the only child of the late Terrence V. Ponder, II and Margaret Ann (Mathews) Ponder.
Terrence was a graduate of Vanderbilt University and excelled in a career in banking, formerly with Stock Yards Bank and Trust.
He is survived by Jacquelyn Chappell, his long-time fiancé and life partner and her daughter, Erica Chappell; Laura Wilson, his ex-wife; and extended family, Charles and Bobbie Mathews along with their children.
A gathering to celebrate Terrence’s life will be held from 4-6 PM followed by a service at 6:00 PM with light food and beverage on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd.
