Theodore Anthony Moran (1945-2015) was a soldier, a working man, a husband and a father. These were the things to which he gave his life, body and soul. He served his country in Germany, Japan and Korea, and in Army towns all over America to provide for his family. His life was not always easy, but throughout, he remained a “happy warrior,” facing each obstacle with a quiet dignity and a firm belief that things would always get better. And they did.
He loved many and was loved by all. He was slow to anger, and quick to forgive. There was nothing he believed was beyond repair, and that included the people around him. He was quiet by nature, but never reserved in his affections and capable of expressing volumes of love with his constancy and willingness to help others.
He adored his wife, Mary Hughes Moran, and with her, he believed all things were possible, no matter what convention, money or medicine said to the contrary. He astounded doctors with his resiliency and good humor and continued to live well and love well, even when his body could no longer be well.
He died at peace in the home he had made with the love of his life, with family near at hand. His greatest sorrow in life was leaving the company of his wife and family. He will continue to live in the memories and souls of those he loved: Sisters Pat and Priscilla, Sons Brian (Mary), Tony (Kim), Jamey (Natalie), Jason, Dustin, and Philip Scott; Daughters Tammie (Ricky), Rebecca (Jenifer), Carrie, and Cabrina (Mike); twenty Grandchildren Matheau, Justin, Steven, Ryan, Ricky, Chelsea, Aaron, Emma, Bethany, Brett, Jonathon, Samantha, Jeremy, Lindsey, Spenser, Alexis, Tyler, Cameron, Kiersten and Aiden, and five Great-Grandchildren. The family wishes to express its deepest gratitude to the caregivers of Hosparus.
