Terry was a Marine veteran.
Terry was a member of Hikes Point Christian Church and the "LIFT" program for widow/widowers directed by Dignity Funeral Homes.
Terry is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Poteet; parents, Theodore and Rose Poteet, Sr.; and brother, Dennis Poteet.
Terry is survived by many cousins.
Funeral service will be 2pm on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11am-2pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Humane Society of Louisville.
