Charles, Thurman 90, passed away February 10, 2013. Corpl. Charles was a marine veteran of WWII and fought in the Battle of Midway. He was a member of Highland Park Masonic Lodge and an honorary member of Lyndon Masonic Lodge. He had also been a faithful member of East Audubon Baptist Church. Thurman left behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 65 years Alyce Charles, children Judy Charles, Alan Ray Charles (Tammy), Susan Harlow (Phil) and Robert Lee Charles (Debbie), grandchildren Chris Charles (Michelle), Codi Roby (Ryan), Gabrielle Atkinson and Ashley Crider and great grandchildren Dylan Charles and Carson Crider. A service honoring the life of Thurman will be held Thursday at 5pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 3pm at the funeral home.
