

Born in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday, September 7, 1945 Twink was the daughter of the lates’ William Harding Jones & Elizabeth Belle Padgett. She attended St. Mathias Grade School and Mercy Academy. Twink was full of life and love! She was a member of the Louisville Ski Club, Balloon Angels at Kosair Children’s Hospital, The Red Hat Society as well as a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, a Eucharistic Minister with St. Athanasius & SAWS. Over the years, she worked for Algood Foods and then retired as a Purchasing Agent with Sysco Foods. Twink was bright and full of fun and loved to cheer on her U of L Cardinals. She lived a full life! A life – well – lived!
Besides her parents, William Harding & Elizabeth Belle Jones; her sister, Judy Brandon, precedes Twink in her passing.
Left to cherish her unforgettable memory are her children, John A. (Vicki) Groft, Jr. & Teresa (Brett – Retired U.S. Army) Mahoney; her grandchildren, Retired Staff Sergeant USAF, Josh (Bianca – Airman First Class – USAF) Groft, Kenzi Groft, Taylor Groft, Ian Mahoney and Chrissy Mahoney; great - grandchildren, Gregory (Keylee) Mahoney & Wesley Mahoney; great – great - granddaughter, Josie Mahoney; her beloved dog, Molly; the father of her children, John A. Groft, Sr.; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing & celebrate the life that she lived.
In accordance with her wishes, Cremation was chosen.
A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 10am at St. Athanasius Catholic Church. For everyone who knew and loves Twila Jo, please wear bright, colorful, happy colors to her Memorial Mass to honor her memory as she wished.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt & special – THANK YOU – to her wonderful caregiver Kristen Carnes and her husband, Chris.
In, lieu of flowers and customary expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations may be made to “Mass of the Air.”
