Vernetta Scott Giesler,96, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2016 at the Masonic Home of Louisville. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 19, 1919 and was the oldest daughter of Dave Scott and Evie Risen Scott.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert G. Giesler Sr. and a sister, Alberta Beard.
She is survived by her son, Robert G. Giesler Jr. and daughter-in-law, Sherry; a granddaughter, Terri G. Bear (Jody); a great-grandson, J. Oliver all of Montgomery, Alabama. She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Bryan (Harry); and a niece, Sharon Hoellman (Joe) and their daughter, Kimberly.
A service to celebrate her life will be conducted Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 10:00 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with private burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9-10 on Thursday at the funeral home.
