Virginia Anna Marxen

Virginia Codey Marxen passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, in the loving care of Hosparus at Baptist East Park Tower in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on February 4, 1933, and was a proud lifelong resident of Louisville.

Virginia is proceeded in death by her sister Edna (Codey) Knox, husband Charles Marxen, as well as two beloved daughters – Debra and Leah, whose memories she carried in her heart every day. She is survived by her brother, Melvin Codey; sons, Michael Marxen (Pam) and Scott Marxen (Phyllis); 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews who appreciated her enduring presence in their lives.

Private services will be held at the family’s discretion. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Virginia 's memory to Hosparus Health of Louisville, whose care and compassion were a blessing in her final days.
