Virginia Ruth Poynter, 89, of Louisville, passed away May 21, 2014. She was a retired CNA for Jewish Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Poynter; her sisters, Clara Bragg and Irene Walden; and brother, Mitchell Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Hood(John); son, Greg Poynter(Rebecca); 7 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and sister, Frances Johnson. Funeral service will be 10am Saturday at O.D. White & Sons Funeral Home with interment in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8pm Friday.
